Look how far we've come my baby

When I first saw you, I saw love
And the first time you touched me,
I felt love And after all this time,
you're still the one I love
Looks like we made it
Look how far we've come my baby
We mighta took the long way
We knew we'd get there someday
They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong
(You're still the one) You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
(You're still the one) You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night
Ain't nothin' better
We beat the odds together
I'm glad we didn't listen
Look at what we would be missin'
They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong
(You're still the one) You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
(You're still the one) You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night You're still the one
(You're still the one) You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
(You're still the one) You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night
I'm so glad we made it
Look how far we've come my baby

Artisan families from Tibet and Nepal who make beautiful, handmade, unique beads and ethnic jewelry.

There are still some artisan families from Tibet and Nepal who make beautiful, handmade, unique beads and ethnic jewelry.

The character and beauty of the older beads cannot be replicated. Most of these beads are over 200 years old, and are very rare, so limited quantities are available. Amber is a pre-historic material that was once liquid tree sap now solidified. It is fifty million years old, and the beads were carved well over two hundred years ago, The Naga shell beads were traded to Tibet well over 100 years ago.... Carnelian is no longer being mined in Tibet. It is also at least 100 years old.

These families are highly skilled and have been making handmade pieces for many generations. Their skills, however, are disappearing due to lack of opportunity.

Unfortunately, these beads are no longer being worn in their country of origin except in very remote villages, as more and more people dispense with traditional dress and decoration in favor of modern, Western attire.

It is due to the changing times that these pieces have become available to us now. Each piece is a wonderful find and something to be treasured for the ages.

We hope you love these pieces as much as we do, and that they will add a unusual, special touch to your personal style or artistic creations.

Nepal possesses altogether ten World Heritage Sites within the country, out of which 8 cultural sites; seven of them deify the Kathmandu Valley. This tour program is especially intended to introduce all the cultural World Heritage sites of Nepal with the additional facet of spending two nights in the Natural World Heritage Site of the Chitwan National Park. The tour also includes a fascinating mountain flight that should never be avoided during this time of the year. It’s an absolute thrill and wonderfully satisfying to view most of the highest peaks of the world, almost within touching distance from the window of your plane...!!!!!

Included in the tour is the ancient city of Bhaktapur, the very old Hindu temple and cremation ghats at Pashupatinath and the huge Buddhist stupa at Boudhnath. The tour also covers fascinating temples at Patan Durbar Square and Swayambunath, known as the ‘monkey temple’ (real monkeys - that can really be a pain in the neck sometimes. Make sure you have some bananas on hand) which is located on a small hillock from where you can have a 360 degree view of Kathmandu valley. The another highlight of this tour is a visit to Kopan Monastery, where Monks and Nuns from the age of seven come from all over Nepal and the Himalayan countries such as Tibet, Indian, Bhutan, Sikkim, and even Mongolia to attend classical monastic education.

The trip extends to Nagarkot which is a one hour scenic drive out of the valley into one of the most beautiful natural environs in the country. After your insightful visits to the major places of Kathmandu valley, we offer you Rafting Nepal package, which will let you, enjoy the most thrilling white water river rafting in the Trishuli River for 3 heavenly hours. We will be visiting the confinement site marked by a stone pillar erected by the famous Indian Emperor Ashoka

Pokhara through a lush, green highway where from the windows of your vehicle, your eyes will behold snowy mountain landscapes and in the course of your drive, you will pass through little hamlets and villages on the way that will give you some deep insights into Nepal’s rural lifestyles; till you finally reach Pokhara, a beautiful, scenic lake town where nature is amplified with the views of majestic peaks almost at touching distance, clean water lakes with boating and canoeing thrills at your service. You will also see some natural wonders of nature in waterfalls and gorges and at dusk, when the sun dips behind the mountains, glimpses of twilight lighten up the skies that herald the end of day and as you slumber after a wonderfully tiring day; the sound of crickets gently put you into blissful sleep…..it’s another day that will go into your diary….a fireside story on a cold winter evening for the generations to come. Buddhists Prayers Flags of Nepal & Tibet

Prayer Flags are inscribed with auspicious symbols, invocations, prayers, and ma...ntras. Tibetan Buddhists for centuries have planted these flags outside their homes and places of spiritual practice for the wind to carry the beneficent vibrations across the countryside. Prayer flags are said to bring happiness, long life and prosperity to the flag planter and those in the vicinity. To me there are few things more beautiful than colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind- sometimes waving gently, sometimes raging; a dance of shadow and light. There is perhaps no simpler way to create good merit in this troubled world of ours than to put prayer flags up for the benefit of other living beings. Prayer flags are not just pretty pieces of colored cloth with funny writing on them. The ancient Buddhist prayers, mantras and powerful symbols displayed on them produce a spiritual vibration that is activated and carried by the wind across the countryside. All beings that are touched by the wind are uplifted and a little happier. The silent prayers are blessings spoken on the breath of nature. Just as a drop of water can permeate the ocean, prayers dissolved in the wind extend to fill all of space.

Same old Fewa Lake, Evening view.

The tourism heritage in Pokhara, a major tourism hub of the country, is under threat.

The condition of different tourism heritage in this touristic place is deteriorating, if not under threat from increasing human encroachment. Amidst all this, Pokhara has seen a surge in tourist arrivals after the publicity of the Nepal Tourism Year-2011 at home and abroad. The hotels and restaurants in Pokhara are packed.
Locals and tourism entrepreneurs have underlined the need for protecting the beauty and attraction of local tourism heritage for sustainable development of tourism.
The condition and environs at the Gupteshwar Cave and David Falls, two major tourist attractions in Pokhara, has presently deteriorated. The Gupteshwar cave is caving in due to the seepage of water from the Phewa Lake while the David Falls is also losing its grandeur due to the deposition of sand by the Seti River and the receding water in the river.

Similarly, the Phewa Lake, one of the natural ornaments of the Pokhara Valley, is seeing growing human encroachment and pollution. People are seen washing clothes on its banks and drainage openly flows into the lake. Moreover, the lake is being slowly colonized by the water hyacinth.
Although there are 25 different organizations active in Pokhara in the name of cleaning up the Phewa Lake, they are not doing all they can for improving the environment of the lake, according to a local.
The International Mountaineering Museum, another tourist attraction in the town also needs to be improved in terms of more resources and articles depicting the major highlights of the development of mountaineering in Nepal and the culture and fauna of the mountain region.

From my Pokhara Trip,6 month ago,( March 2011)

Boating at Fewa Lake Pokhara

Pokhara is renowned for its setting rather than its historical or cultural endowments. Its peaceful lakeside location and proximity to the Annapurna mountain range mean it is an ideal place for recovering from (or gearing up for) a trek. Pokhara. It is also a base for trekkers undertaking the famous Annapurna Circuit Trek.
It is also known as the Tourist capital of Nepal, noted for its tranquil atmosphere and the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Three out of the ten highest mountains in the world can be viewed very closely from
